About Ocean Ki Acupuncture
At Ocean Ki Acupuncture, we believe in the power of connection. Our clinic's name was inspired by the vast and deep ocean, a source of endless energy and inspiration for our founder, Dr. Jackson.
As she was getting ready to graduate and start her own clinic in her home state, Dr. Jackson knew she wanted to incorporate the ocean into the clinic's name in some way. And she found her answer in the concept of Ki, or Essential Life Force Energy.
Her teacher had once explained that connecting our Ki to the ocean's vast abundance would ensure we never run out of energy. And that's exactly what we strive to do at Ocean Ki Acupuncture - to share that abundance of energy with every patient and client who walks through our doors. We hope you'll come and experience the benefits of this connection for yourself.
Our Team.
Dr. Jennifer S Jackson, DAOM, MSOM, LMT
Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Licensed Massage Therapist, CranioSacral Therapy Practitioner

Dr. Jennifer S Jackson graduated from Southwest Acupuncture College(SWAC) in December of 2011 with a Masters of Oriental Medicine. During her time at SWAC, Dr, Jackson had the privilege to study with Dr. Ehrland Truitt. Here she learned the gentle, yet powerful form of Traditional Japanese Hari-Style Acupuncture.

As a student at SWAC, Dr. Jackson had the honor of traveling with Dr. Truitt and master acupuncturist T. Koei Kuwahara, L.Ac to Osaka, Japan, where she spent a week studying with their lineage of master acupuncturists. During this trip she was introduced to and had the privilege to study with Masanori Tanioka Sensei, one of the leading acupuncturists of Pediatric(ShoniHari) treatments in the world. In April 2015, Dr. Jackson made a second trip to Japan with master Acupuncturist Kuwahara to expand her studies of Meridian Therapy and Pediatric (ShoniHari) treatment. Dr. Jackson continues her studies of Hari-Style Traditional Acupuncture and Pediatric (Shonihari) Acupuncture with master Acupuncturist Kuwahara in Watertown, MA.

Prior to SWAC, Dr. Jackson has studied Massage Therapy at the Community College of Rhode Island, and has 20 years experience in that field. She studied Craniosacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute in the beginning of 2007.
Dr. Jackson served as the Vice-President of the Boston Hari Society from 2013 - 2015. She served as President of the Boston Hari Society from 2015 - 2017. During her timing serving in these positions, Dr. Jackson was able to facilitate a number of 6 month Hari Series in Watertown, MA.
Dr. Mary Grace Guenther, DAOM
Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine

Dr. Mary graduated from The Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is Licensed in Rhode Island and New York and NCCAOM board certified.

Dr. Mary’s goal is to provide traditional Chinese acupuncture where the patient feels valued, heard and participates in moving towards his or her own optimal health and well-being. During her time in graduate school, she had the honor of studying abroad in China at the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Huangzhou. There, Dr. Mary, was inspired by the combined use of western medicine and traditional acupuncture, sometimes side by side on inpatient care units, to produce successful patient outcomes, especially in the treatment of chronic painful conditions.

Prior to graduate school, Dr. Mary worked as an RN for 27 years in various positions: critical care, vascular intervention, clinical management and risk management. As an RN, she became a compassionate advocate for patient safety, giving voice to a patient’s needs and fears, treating the whole person, not just the diagnosis. She brings that same compassion to her acupuncture practice, acknowledging, listening and treating each patient as an individual. Dr. Mary feels it is imperative to work together with the patient, developing a treatment plan that provides the best outcome for each person.

Dr Mary’s clinical experience in Acupuncture includes treating chronic and acute painful conditions at the Canandaigua VA medical center, along with PTSD and smoking cessation in a community group setting to veterans who are unable to receive treatment on a table. Dr. Mary has, also, worked in an integrated health center in Rochester and in Seneca Falls, treating a wide range of conditions.
Prior to Covid-19, I volunteered monthly at Share the Love event at the Falk Cancer Center in upstate New York, providing supportive acupuncture to patients and family members. She values this community contribution and hopes to rejoin a similar out-reach in the future, post-Covid.

Christine Davis

Christine has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field , most recently as an RN in the Infection control and prevention department. Christine has worked in a variety of departments but spent the majority of her nursing career on a cardiac unit . The years spent caring for patients with complex medical conditions at every stage of life taught Christine the importance of the mind body connection.
She was introduced to Reiki, which is a Japanese energy healing technique, in 2015 at the hospital where she continues to work, the hospital offered the initial training of reiki 1 and that’s when her journey in energy work began. She has witnessed firsthand the limitations of medicine alone when it comes to healing and how much power the mind has to help overcome obstacles. Her experience as an RN naturally led her to develop her gifts of empathy and energy work. She obtained her Usui holy fire III reiki master level certification in 2021 , and enjoys practicing reiki in and outside of the hospital.
Dr. Michelle Morisi, DACM

Michelle Morisi is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, as well as a certified qigong instructor. She received her master’s degree in acupuncture and certificate in Chinese herbal medicine from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida.
Michelle’s background in the Five Element style emphasizes a perspective of health rather than disease, and treats the root cause rather than chasing symptoms. This medicine views the individual as a whole being, empowering them towards deep healing. In this way, Michelle works with her patients to encourage a harmonious inner environment in which they can flourish.
In addition to acupuncture, Michelle often incorporates moxibustion, tui na (acupressure), and other Chinese medicine modalities into her treatments for increased benefits. She also offers herbal medicine.
Michelle is also a certified Fengyang Qigong instructor. Qigong is an ancient movement practice, similar to tai chi, that was developed for healing. Most of the movements are done slowly while standing. She finds that incorporating daily qigong or tai chi practice is helpful for supporting health and naturally relieving pain.
