OUR STORY
Why we are called Ocean Ki
Our clinic's name was inspired by the vast, deep ocean, a source of endless energy and inspiration for our founder, Dr. Jackson. As she prepared to graduate and open her own clinic in her home state, she knew she wanted the ocean in the name.
She found her answer in Ki, the Essential Life Force Energy. Her teacher once explained that connecting our Ki to the ocean's vast abundance means we never run out of energy.
That is what we strive to do at Ocean Ki: share that abundance of energy with every patient who walks through our doors. We hope you will come and feel the connection for yourself.

Dr. Jennifer S. Jackson
DAOM, MSOM, LMT · Founder
Dr. Jen graduated from Southwest Acupuncture College in 2011, where she studied Traditional Japanese Hari-Style Acupuncture with Dr. Ehrland Truitt. She has studied in Osaka, Japan, including pediatric (Shonihari) acupuncture, and continues training with master acupuncturist T. Koei Kuwahara. She brings 20 years of massage therapy experience, studied Craniosacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute, and served as President of the Boston Hari Society from 2015 to 2017.
Dr. Sara Thielbar Adams
DACM, MSTOM · Acupuncturist
Sara trained at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego and is licensed in Rhode Island and NCCAOM board certified. After an internship at Shandong University in China, she practiced in private, integrative and hospital settings, including the Oncology Department of Women and Infants Hospital. With a Five Element foundation, she focuses on stress management and related symptoms.
Dr. Michelle Morisi
DACM · Acupuncturist & Herbalist
Michelle is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, trained at the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture in Gainesville, Florida. Her Five Element approach treats the root cause rather than chasing symptoms, and she often adds moxibustion, tui na and herbal medicine. She is also a certified Fengyang Qigong instructor.
Dr. Mary Grace Guenther
DAOM · Acupuncturist
A graduate of the Finger Lakes School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, Dr. Mary is licensed in Rhode Island and New York and NCCAOM board certified. She studied at the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. Before acupuncture she spent 27 years as an RN, and she has treated chronic and acute pain, PTSD and smoking cessation, including at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center.
Dr. Gage Andreoli
DACM · Acupuncturist & Herbalist
Dr. Andreoli trained in Chinese-style acupuncture at the New England School of Acupuncture and is licensed in Rhode Island. He specializes in anxiety, stress and pain relief, combining acupuncture and herbal therapies in personalized treatment plans that address both physical and emotional health.
Christine Davis
Reiki Master
Christine has more than 20 years in healthcare as an RN, most of it on a cardiac unit, where she saw the importance of the mind-body connection. She began Reiki training in 2015 and earned her Usui Holy Fire III Reiki Master certification in 2021.
