What to Expect

Skin review first. We talk through your goals and health history before your first treatment.
The treatment. Your skin is cleansed and the device glides over the area. Most people feel light pressure or a mild scratchy feeling.
Right after. Skin usually looks pink, like a mild sunburn, for a day or two.
Results. Collagen builds over the following weeks, so most people do a series of treatments.

Who Should Wait or Skip Microneedling

Microneedling is not recommended if you are pregnant, going through chemotherapy or radiation, or have uncontrolled health issues. In those cases we may suggest acupuncture alone. It is also usually postponed during active acne breakouts, eczema or psoriasis flares in the treatment area, or while taking certain acne medications. We review your history before every new treatment plan.

Aftercare Tips

Skip makeup for the rest of the day.
Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer for a few days.
Stay out of direct sun and wear sunscreen.
Hold off on retinoids, acids and scrubs for several days.
Your practitioner will give you personal aftercare instructions.
